FAR Infrared Saunas Frequently Asked QuestionsUsage and Operating Questions Can I use an infrared sauna outside? No. These saunas are only for indoor use. You may not use them outside, even if you cover them. How hot does an infrared sauna get? 140° Fahrenheit. This can vary based on your ambient room temperature, but 140° is the normal high. How long should I sit in an infrared sauna? You may use your sauna every day - however, please limit the time you spend in it to 90 minutes. Can my children use the infrared sauna? Yes, but only if they are supervised. They may become dehydrated easily from the heat and should not use it unsupervised. How much electricity does an infrared sauna use? This will depend on your electric rate in your area - however, most people have found they spend only pennies per session to use their sauna. Can I convert the infrared sauna into a traditional steam sauna? No, absolutely not. Please take care to limit the amount of water inside the sauna, as it is not made for that and it can cause warping. Pricing and Quality Questions I see similar infrared saunas for $500-$1000 more than your price. Why? We sell many of these and therefore get great deals from the manufacturer since we buy in bulk. Also, since we sell so many, we do not have to take a huge profit on each one (like other sellers out there.) Where are the Hydra Deluxe Infrared Saunas made? They are made in China, by Waterstar From what wood are the infrared saunas made? They are made from Hemlock, which is quite sturdy and resistant to warping. Is Hemlock a "flawless" wood? No, but you will be able to tell the quality of the sauna just by looking at it. There may be knots, color variations, and even small cracks in the wood. This is a natural occurence since you are heating the wood repeatedly. Are your infrared saunas UL approved? The 2-person, 3-person, 4-person, and corner unit are UL approved. The 1-person is not, but it is built to the same specifications What is the thickness of the sidewall panel wood? Each wooden panel for the sides, front and back, is 7mm or .27 inches. Other manufacturers get by with 3mm wooden panels. Shipping PicturesUnfortunately, some of our saunas have been damaged while en route to our customers - therefore, please note the following pictures and make sure that your sauna shipment looks the same. If it does not have all the stickers and shrink-wrap, please at the very least note this in writing with the carrier. We recommend, however, that you refuse the shipment if it looks to be damaged. (All shipments will have the shrink-wrap and stickers; depending on the size of your sauna, you may receive less boxes than pictured here.) ![]() ![]() ![]() |
